Mobile broadband has revolutionized our Internet experience. As more and more people are logging on to the Internet on the go, the need for a faster connection has become imperative, what with all the music downloads, video streaming and other Internet activities that consumes bandwidth. Thanks to mobile broadband, the bandwidth that is being delivered to consumers increased. Broadband actually refers to a term that pertains to a wide array of frequencies in a certain transmission system. If the bandwidth is larger, so does the frequency.

In general, the whole idea of having a broadband connection is to have a "high-speed" connection to the Internet. Being "high-speed" means having a high rate of data transmission. But too often, the mobile broadband speed of a Internet service provider does not measure up to what is advertised, leaving broadband users frustrated. While there are legitimate reasons for slow data transmission, such as traffic management or software on the computer, there are times that a slow mobile broadband speed is unacceptable and is due to poor service.

What to do about this? The first thing you may do is check your mobile broadband speed. It is important to determine the speed of your mobile broadband in order to calculate the necessary steps that you should take. The best way to check your mobile broadband speed is by using a credible speed checker.

Checking your broadband speed is easy, quick and most of all, it's free. You may do so now if like. This website gives you the opportunity to know your mobile broadband speed. Take note that it is to your advantage to test the speed of your mobile broadband. Annoyed that your every download takes so long to be finished? Always having trouble streaming music and videos to your computer or mobile device? Put the speed of your mobile broadband to the test to see if your Internet service provider is true to their promise.

Once you have checked the speed of your mobile broadband and find it unsatisfactory, give your broadband provider a call. Find out if there is anything they can do to improve your broadband speed. You may need to upgrade your modem or have a technician check your line. If there's no improvement you have the right to file a formal complaint to the company. You have the option to take your case to the small claims court in accordance with the Supply of Goods and Services Act if actions were taken but you are still not satisfied or the company failed to act on your official complaint. Or you may just want to switch to another broadband provider if all else failed. Check out the market for Internet service providers that offer faster and reliable speed. Ask around to find out if these providers deliver on their promise before signing up with them. Just always remember that optimum broadband speed is rarely achieved accurately so the thing to consider is which provider gives the most consistent speed.

Sony Playstation 3 - Gaming Console

The PlayStation 3 game console coming out from Sony Computer Entertainment is the third one in the row of game consoles launched by the electronic giant. Marketed officially as PLAYSTION3, and commonly abbreviated as PS3, the third home video game console competes with Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Nintendo's Wii as part of the seventh generation of video game consoles. Released first on November 11, 2006 in Japan, November 17, 2006 in North America and Asia, and March 23, 2007 in Europe and Oceania, the game console enjoys a third place in sales and marketing. The PlayStation 3 is considered as the first console with next-generation primary storage media, Blu-ray Disc, in spite of its supporting to DVDs, CDs, HDDs and with some models SACDs. The PlayStation 3 game console can also play back content from Blu-ray Disc (BD) at a bit rate of multiplex 48Mbps, the maximum bit rate defined in BD standards.

The PlayStation 3 game console along with the features of the 20 GB model, the 60 GB model also carries along with it additional features including internal IEEE 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, multiple flash card readers (SD/MultiMedia Card, CompactFlash Type I/Type II, Microdrive, Memory Stick/PRO/Duo) and a chrome colored trim. The hardware used for the 80 GB model released in South Korea was almost same to the 60 GB model released in Europe and Australia. It was only the size of the hard drive that was differing. The North American 80 GB model excluded the PlayStation 2 "Emotion Engine" chip following the South Korean and European models, instead by providing PS2 compatibility via software emulation, which reduced the level of compatibility. It was found that the 40 GB model had two USB ports instead of the four USB ports on other models, and excludes a multi memory card port, SACD support, or any backwards compatibility with PlayStation 2 titles.

Until now Sony has not released any official Wi-Fi or flash memory card readers for the 20 GB system, although plans for such add-ons are in place. The second generation PS3s (40 GB) use Cell CPUs of 65nm while at the same time the first generation PS3s (60 GB) use Cell CPU of 90nm. This shows that the system runs cooler requiring less power to operate.

2009/07/21 Top 5

The controversy surrounding the king of pop takes a new turn, Mika makes his return malaysia bar the world of pop, Amy and Peter look better than there ex’s and Starbucks hit the bottle…all in this weeks Adsl Vs Sdsl 5 on Gossip TV, with your host Peter Jarrette.

With Christmas over and New Year's Day just a couple of hours away, it time to reflect and take a look at the best gadgets of the year.

June saw the launching of the year's most hyped up product: Streamyx Promotion iPhone by Apple. On the menu: a fully functional phone with a touch screen, Wi-Fi Internet and a fully functional version of the iPod. Despite its heavy price-tag, the iPhone lived up to the hype and gave us a look into what the future of mobile streamyx installation beholds.

Shure's SE530 headphones are probably the best earphones you will ever have to pleasure of using (although the whole in your pocket will not be pleasant, weighing-in at 499$). Using sound isolating technology and featuring tweeters and dual woofers, these earphones make everyone wish they were rich.

The iPod touch, basically a stripped down version of the iPhone, was unveiled in September. It offers more storage space than the iPhone, but there is no camera or email management. The iPod touch does include Wi-Fi internet and manages to bring new innovation to the saturated music player market.

It's not often that a laptop gets so much hype, but the Asus Eee certainly had everyone talking in October. That's because it offered a fully-functional laptop the size of a hardback, weighing just 2 pounds. The Eee costs $499, which is a good price but considerably more than what people were expecting.

Netgear's Wi-Fi Skype Phone lets you log in and use Skype anywhere you have access to Wi-Fi, be it Starbucks, your local mall or your home. Sporting a nice design a reasonable price tag, this Skype phone is probably one of the smartest investments you can make.

There is no doubt that broadband isp dsl was a great year for gadgets. And with Christmas now over and products heavily discounted, it's time to head to the shops.

SEO - Who Needs an Office?

So, I was sat starhub broadband the office this afternoon minding my own business, working on SEO projects for some of my clients, just thinking about ordering something from the sandwich shop - when BANG, all the power goes off! The server UPS starts beeping, all the lights go off, my monitors go off, the phones go dead, and all the alarms start going off up & down the street.

Power cut! Doh!

So I get on the phone to the electricity company, who tell me that power has gone down to most of the homes & business in the area due to an underground cable error - and they can't say exactly when the power will return (it was off for the entire day).

(This is nothing compared to what a lot of people in Scotland block internet access had to put up with recently, no power for days - in the cold winter we're having in the UK at the moment, not good!)

All the shops closed, business stopped - no power, no money.

BUT - This wasn't the case for me.

I sat there, in there dark & cold, and realized I was in quite a unique situation, in that the power being down didn't need to effect me.

Being an SEO & web marketing consultant, I can work from anywhere!

I could take my laptop into a cafe' a couple of miles down the road where the power isn't effected, and work in there - plug into their power if the battery was running low, and use their wireless broadband connection.

Internet marketing doesn't require you to be fixed to one spot, although it's handy to have a base, you can actually work anywhere.

I could jump on a train to Manchester, (15 mins) and work in the cafe' of any of a number of very nice hotels, buy a coffee every so often & nobody will mind I'm using the cafe as my makeshift web marketing office - I can even take a stroll to another hotel if I get bored of the scenery.

Or I could work from home, anywhere in fact - even the beach if it was warm enough (I have actually worked from the beach car park while having a break from surfing, I didn't take the laptop on the beach though as sand tends to get everywhere. I've worked from airports, trains, car parks, cafe's, even sat in stationary broadband speed meter on a motorway traffic jam.)

Being a web marketing consultant is one of the rare businesses that can be operated just about anywhere, you don't need to even have an office, with a laptop & a mobile phone you have all you need.

Just one of the many reasons that web marketing is the business for me!

Jon Gosselin to Launch Children's Foundation, Sell Autographs

Father of the year Jon Gosselin appeared Saturday at Frightworld in Buffalo, N.Y., where a local paper wrote that he was charging $7 for his autograph.

What type of idiot would actually pay that for a Jon Gosselin autograph, we have no clue. Which is probably why Jon's rep denied that part of the story.

Gosselin never agreed tv shows on the internet any such arrangement, according to his manager. Which is good, if true, because that's $7 more than his signature's worth.

Whatever the real reason, the father of eight was the main attraction at a haunted house attraction, touring five haunted houses at the Frightworld complex beginning at 6:30 p.m., during breaks from greeting fans, and afterward.

Jon Gosselin in Las Vegas

This is Dialup the scene in Buffalo, sadly for Jon. Hey, not every public appearance includes a pool full of mediocre girls and free drinks in Vegas. Haunted houses are cool too.

Jon was supposedly doing the appearance as part of his efforts to launch the Jon Gosselin Children's Foundation. We have no clue what that does.

Hopefully it helps pay the mountains of psychiatric bills for the children of America who have been exploited by parents shah alam malaysia reality TV shows.

Sigh. Poor Cara, Mady, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel. We hope the Gosselin Eight had a nice weekend at home with Katezilla.

Hacking the clouds: Exploiting shared physical infrastructure

A new research paper recasts the traditional risk paradigms of cloud computing. Blogger Paul Mah digs into the paper and mulls over the implications for IT professionals.

It can be hard to stick to a budget when visiting major cities in the US, but the Big Apple offers plenty of free attractions guaranteed to keep travelers staying at New York hostels busy, without breaking the bank.

Staten Island Ferry - Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island

The best view of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island is definitely from the water and Celcom Broadband Wireless half of all Americans are thought to have descended from immigrants who passed through Ellis Island on the ships. For the price of the Staten Island Ferry trip, backpackers can learn more about the role this New York port played in US history at the island's museum. Presented as a gift from the French to America, the Statue of Liberty is arguably the most famous landmark in New York and travelers can pay a ferry fee to visit the iconic monument.

Ground Zero

The site of the World Trade Center is currently under development with a permanent memorial, museum and a new skyscraper, called the Freedom Tower, to be constructed in the very near future. Travelers can also visit the 16-acre site where the Twin Towers once stood between Liberty Street and West Street.

Rockefeller Center

This sprawling complex is located in Manhattan between Fifth Avenue and Avenue of the Americas. Built by the Rockefeller oil heir family during the 1930s, the Art Deco-style center houses shops, restaurants and even an ice skating rink, all set around a plaza centerpiece.

Wall Street

It may be renowned as a symbol of western capitalism, but a short walk down Wall Street will cost travelers nothing. The New York Stock Exchange's grand marble facade is a wonderful sight, as is the Federal Hall National Memorial. Formerly the US Customs House, the Federal Hall was built on the location where George Washington was inducted as the first President of the United States and is now a museum, offering free entry - perfect for those on a budget.

Museums

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is definitely worth a visit, but does charge an entry fee. New York hostel guests looking for culture on the cheap, however, can take advantage of Dsl Internet Service Provider of the city's other museums. The Museum of Modern Art is free of charge on Fridays between 4pm and 8pm and the Museum of the City of New York, on Fifth Avenue, is free on Sundays from 10am until midday.

Central Park features a zoo, ice skating rinks and a swimming pool, as well as a boating lake and stunning natural landscapes, featured in many classic films and television shows.

Fifth Avenue

Consumption is definitely the main activity on Fifth Avenue and travelers who enjoy window shopping might like to peruse the wares on display at Tiffany & Co, Sak's Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman. Those not looking for retail therapy can instead admire the curved architecture of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum on Fifth Avenue, as well as the neo-gothic St Patrick's Cathedral and the iconic Empire State Building.

Empire State Building

Completed in 1931, this Art Deco-style tower is the tallest building in New York and is one of the city's most recognizable landmarks. For an extra $15, visitors can head up to the 102nd floor for an even more spectacular view.

Times Square

Famous for its annual New Year's Eve street party, held since 1907, Times Square is an impressive sight throughout the rest of the year as well. Flanked on all sides by enormous neon advertising screens featuring famous US brands, the area was named in 1904 after the nearby Times Building. A key intersection and a famous section of New York, the theater-land of Broadway leads off the square.
